What bedroom color is best for two teenage girls (17 and 18 years old)?

anything except white, all my life I've had a boring white bedroom. I want something different but mature enough for 2 girls in their late teens.

How about purple? Or if you paint one wall a really deep purple colour, and the rest really light?
