I didnt lift when i was 13, and its not always a great idea to do any really heavy weight that early. First of all, everone is going to be different. If you took every 13 year old guy you knew and told him to bench press lets say 105 lbs. the results woiudl vary hugely. Lets say you then took all of them and had them do the same weight training program for a long time liek a year. The results would still vary. My point is that everyone is different. Also, take into consideration that there have been instances where young people who lift very heavy weight have stunted their growth (I assume youd rather not be the same height when your 20). Its fine to keep lifting, but you sould stick with lower weight. You'll still get muscle tone from it. Try using this as a tule of thumb. Pick a weight that you can do only 8-10 reps on. Keep lifting that amount until you can do 12 or 13. Once you reach that point, then raise the weight. That way, you'll avoid harming your body.
everyone has different builds and strengths, set a goal to be able to press your weight. If you weigh 120 lbs, see if you can bench 120 lbs. If not, find a lower weight to work with. To find a starting weight, find what you can bench 8 times. Work with that weight until you can bench it 12 times. Once you bench it 12 times, increase the weight by 5 lbs and then work with that and continue to increase the weight accordingly. good luck
it depends what you are talking about when u say lifting.

I know it will help you and it is worth that much prize.
When I started weight lifting at 13 I could only bench a small amount of 45-50lbs. I kept at it for 2 1/2 years and now I max out at about 180-190lbs. I'm aiming to max at about 210 by the end of summer.

As you can see, I'm pretty serious about lifting weights :)
